What is clear gel for nails used for?
Clear gel nail polish is a product that is used to create a glossy, clear finish on the nails. It can be used as a top coat and base coat for regular nail polish, or it can be worn alone. Clear gel nail polish is applied like regular nail polish and cured under UV or LED light.
How do you apply clear gel nail polish?
The same process is used to apply clear nail gel polish as you would any other gel polish, making sure to prep first by cleaning and buffing the nails. Next, apply a base coat then the clear gel nail polish in thin coats. Be sure to cure the clear gel nail polish under UV light after each coat is applied.
Finish with a top coat for extra shine and protection, removing the tacky layer with a Prep & Wipe on a Lint Free Wipe.
Is Clear Gel polish the same as top coat?
No, clear gel nail polish is not the same as a top coat. A Top coat is a clear nail polish that’s applied over a base coat or coloured coat of polishto give it a glossy finish and extend its wear time.
How long does it take for clear gel to work?
Mylee’s clear gel nail polish must be cured under UV or LED light in order for it to cure. Mylee’s clear gel polish, base coats and top coats can all cure in 30 seconds in the Pro LED Lamp. Builder Gel can come in a clear formula and is a thicker consistancy so will need 60 seconds in the Pro Lamp.
Is a clear coat necessary for nails?
No, clear gel nail polish is not necessary for nails. A base coat and top coat are essential though.Remember, aclear coloured polish still needs a base coat to maintain a long-lasting and chip-free mani.
